Home centers now readily offer two story manufactured homes. These are customizable in facade colors and floor plan layouts. They typically come in the traditional American Home style and gabled roof. It can have an attic and car garage – all depending on the buyer’s preference of model and use of space.
In keeping up with stick built on site homes, manufactured homes are coming out with several two story models. Many of which with premium finishes, lots of storage space and no visible marriage line to really give that seamless feel of a traditionally built home.(1)
Some homes come with a fireplace, double sink in the master toilet and bath, a separate bathtub and shower, walk-in closet, kitchen island, you name it! It’s all to give that feeling of an expansive living space and veer off from viewing manufactured homes as a mobile trailer home, which the industry is proving it most certainly is not.

The second floor can come as an “open plan” or spacious attic space, wherein the owner can choose how to dress, divide and use the space.
Based on the floor plan above, one can build out the space for an additional bedroom, home office and gym or maybe have a nice big family room.
All American Homes carries four models with two story homes, all of which have a two to three car park garage. They all have a variety of exterior facade treatments and second floor layouts options to choose from, like its Huntington model below:(2)
So if your vision of a dream home was to live large, a manufactured home can still provide those wishes with a cost efficient budget!
These aren’t just design concepts of artistic renderings, the major manufactured home centers of the U.S. have really put out several two storey home models ready for delivery. The Quantico Home by Champion Homes even has three stories with a loft space you can freely design! (3)
